Welcome to Pre-Kindergarten!  My name is Julie Mathers and I am thrilled to be teaching your child this year and working with your family. This is my second year at Reidenbaugh Elementary School/ Owl Hill Learning Center.  I am proud to be a member ofthis educational community this 2008-2009 school year.  

 I moved to the Lancaster area in 1998 to start college at Millersville University.  I was born and raised in Swarthmore, PA where my parents still live. In fact, my dad has been the Mayor of Swarthmore for the last eight years.  I have one younger sister who works in a law firm in Boston , M.A.

 After college graduation, I taught second grade in the Penn Manor School District.  After a year there, I began teaching in the School District of Lancaster. I taught third grade, Pre-kindergarten and finally kindergarten for two years.  I love teaching and learning so I went back to school in the summer of 2003 and started my masters’ degree program at Millersville University. I completed my masters’ degree in May 2007 in early childhood education!

 I now live in Millersville with my husband, Jeremy who is originally from Sutton Coldfield, England. We met in April, 2004 and got married in the summer, August 5, 2006!  His family lived with us the month before the wedding and then they returned to England when we left for Maui, Hawaii on our honeymoon.
